Cancellation, deposit and refunds
How cancellation and deposits work on AzureStay. Since the guest pays the owner directly, the specific terms depend on the property and are stated on its profile before you send an inquiry.
Before confirmation — no obligation
Sending an inquiry is a request, not a booking. Until the owner confirms the date, you pay nothing and are free to withdraw or inquire about another stay.
Deposit
Most owners require a deposit to confirm a date. Whether one is required, how much, and how it is paid — this is stated clearly on the property’s profile and in the confirmation. AzureStay does not charge deposits and does not process online payments — the deposit goes directly to the owner.
Cancelling a confirmed booking
If you cancel a confirmed date, the property’s cancellation policy applies (the notice period before arrival and the fate of any deposit). Cancel in good time and arrange it directly with the owner — the freed date is automatically returned to availability.
Force majeure
For unforeseen situations (illness, travel bans, extraordinary circumstances) we recommend agreeing a date change with the owner. Consider travel insurance for your stay abroad as well.
